Got me right in, fortunately after same-day referral from my dentist. Tested to make sure I needed the root canal, explained everything clearly. Was able to immediately do my root canal. Yes, some "pinches," but then was totally pain free procedure. Follow up call next day to check on me. Feeling much better. Highly recommended!

I don't think anyone likes when their time is wasted, and that's why it's important for receptionists to do their job correctly. I've had a tooth that's in need of a root canal for some months now and I was referred to Dr. Lindemann's office by my regular dentist. I called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in relatively quickly. During this initial call, I asked to set up a consultation with the doctor and we briefly discussed out of pocket costs (they didn't take my insurance but that was okay with me). This morning I arrived at their office and received some documents to fill out. The final page listed the cost of services that would be provided today, and instead of seeing "consultation" I saw only "root canal" listed. I approached the receptionist and asked what she scheduled me for today. She said I was scheduled to have a root canal. I explained to her that I only requested a consultation and at no point was I told I was scheduled for a root canal. I asked when I was supposed to get an evaluation since it wasn't listed on the document, and she explains to me that she scheduled the consultation and root canal for the same day (okay, great, good to know he wasn't just gonna go in blind..) I explain to her that, all the same, I have dental anxiety and I would have never agreed to letting someone I've never met before perform this procedure on me the same day. Furthermore, there is a big price difference between a root canal and a simple evaluation. I'm paying out of pocket and I wasn't planning on handing over nearly $1500 today. She suggested that I could stay to have the evaluation done and that we could schedule the root canal for another day. I was open to this so she wrote down the new balance due for just the evaluation. I then had questions about whether this number included any imaging costs or if it were possible for the doctor to use the panoramic I just had done two months ago. As I begin to ask these questions, the receptionist quickly loses patience and cuts me off with, "look, do you want to do the evaluation today or do you want to waste more of his time?" Suffice to say, I will be wasting no more of Dr. Lindemann's time.
