UPDATE- BEWARE: this company will "refer" your contact information to telemarketers and all sorts of companies when renewing or signing leases. They use third party companies for everything now, want to pay your rent, sign up with this data mining company, you need renters insurance, use this other third party data mining company... They force you to sign up for so many different companies who now have your data, including your banking and credit card information, insurance information etc. If you value privacy, this is a horrible place to live. My neighbor was assaulted in the hallway by a stranger who gained access from the broken doors, that we have put in multiple work orders on. My wife is terrified of entering the building now and calls me every time she comes "home," living in fear is not okay, especially for the premium rent they charge. The building doors don't latch properly, and they slam so loud they reverberate the entire building, repeatedly knocked things off shelves in my apartment. It's great at night, when I get woken up repeatedly by an incredible bang of broken building doors. Seriously, don't lease here. The flippant and callous attitudes of office staff is quite infuriating, considering as renters we pay their salaries. It's truly frustrating having them never answer phone calls unless you are new applicants. The staff could at least try to call tenants back. The maintenance staff never fix anything and cancel as many work orders as you can submit.

DON'T MOVE HERE! "SECURED" BUILDING DOORS DO NOT LATCH AS DESCRIBED ON THE WEBSITE! Just this week (January 9 2024) we had an incident where a stranger assaulted a resident in my building. He was able to get in because the building doors do not latch properly. We have brought this to management's attention numerous times only to be told the doors have been "fixed" and they work if you slam them hard enough. Not so. Especially not for the elderly building occupants. The "repairs" that are done to the doors (frankly, to anything they attempt a repair on) never last more than a couple of weeks. I fear for the safety of my family and our neighbors now that this has happened. READ THE REVIEWS! THE PROBLEMS WITH MAINTENANCE ARE NOT EXAGGERATED! And as many others have mentioned, we've had roughly a $300 increase in rent in the 3.5 years we've lived here. Shame I have to give one star. I'd prefer zero. The door to our building has needed replacement since we started having issues the month after we moved in, December 2020. The ceiling inside our building has a hole from a water leak and has gone unrepaired for 2 months. When I inquired about these things being fixed, I was met with hostility and anger by the office staff. According to a strongly worded letter sent out multiple times between spring and summer, they allow only 3 plants on your balcony as a general rule and will fine residents for violating that rule. Nice. Especially since the photos on the website clearly show photos of a balcony loaded with lovely plants and flowers. False advertising at its best. Took over a month for my washer and dryer to be replaced when they stopped working. When they were installed, the only way to get them in place was to remove the moulding around the door frame. I was told maintenance would be back the following week to reattach the moulding strips. Months later, it's still not done. After my last update to this review, they finally came to replace the moulding strips. Weeks later, after yet ANOTHER phone call, the unfinished moulding strip was painted. Poorly. The rear door to our building does not latch. Security issue. The front door to the building latches sometimes. If you slam it hard enough. Upon bringing this up to the maintenance manager, he says he has personally "fixed" the front door many times. How about you fix it the right way once? So we have one entry door to our building that works properly about half the time. Security is not forefront for the staff here. THEY GAVE/SOLD OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, PHONE NUMBERS TO BE SPECIFIC, TO VERIZON WITHOUT OUR CONSENT! How do I know this? We've been fielding calls from Verizon and inquired as to how they received our information. They said it came from KENSINGTON MANOR. Today they are reglazing another resident's tub. Therefore, our entire building smells of chemicals. The office refuses to prop open the front and back door of the building (which again, don't properly latch) because it would compromise the security of the building. Their solution to a problem they have failed to notify the other building occupants about: open your windows or leave. Well, my windows are open. It's still too overwhelming of a smell. Had I been given notice about this, I would have been able to plan being out of the house during this time. Again with the poor communication to people who pay to live here. The office manager was supposed to call me back about this issue today as she was in a meeting. I had to call her back 6 hours later as she had failed to return my call.

BEWARE! Check your lease carefully before you move out. Take photos and document everything. Kensington Manor and Beztak management company have to be the shadiest company Ive ever dealt with. I was charged $800 to replace normal wearing tear carpet along with $450 to re-caulk the bathtub which was in the exact same condition it was when I moved in. Many other hidden fees and lies. Shady shady shady! BEWARE!
