Everyone was so nice and helpful I really could tell I was in great hands. I really think people who work in the hospital or medical field. Should have something good done for them.

This facility billed my routine screening as history of polyps resulting in me paying more out of pocket. I go every 5 years according to insurance as preventative so this facility is obviously getting more money by billing as a history. I also do not recommend this facility because they make you stand in the hall and call you in one at a time to do the intake. Felt like I was signing up for the army and having to stand in the hallway of a commercial building. Office staff was not friendly. Never again!

Terrible Experience! Never again! Rudest, uneducated staff I have ever experienced! Made me sit in my car to wait for my elderly mother in 6 degree weather for over an hour! There were 3 people in the waiting room and they couldn't make an exception just for this super freezing day!

Had to split the difference on my rating. 5 for Dr. Raphael. He is an excellent surgeon, great bedside manner and skills in the operating room. Office/ billing staff, 0. GOLDEN NUGGET OF INFO HERE: If you have a Colonoscopy done and it IS PREVENTATIVE (Not medically necessary. Meaning it was an annual check or you were of age to get this done, or had a positive Cologuard, etc), it is 100% covered by the Affordable Care Act. Do not pay the bills when they come in, simply call your insurance company right away, and have them chart it as such and refuse the claims - even when already processed through your insurance. Your insurance company will contact each provider and have them code it properly so that you are not responsible for any part of the bills. I did this back in January, 2022. ALL 5 providers (anesthesiologist, hospital, lab charges, biopsy, etc) gladly took their payment from Blue Cross and zeroed out my balance due. 1 provider did not. And verbally refused to accept that this would be an Affordable Care Act (ACA) claim. That was Michigan Endoscopy Center. Their billing person was so rude about it. She said they will NEVER change the code to it being preventative as it was medically necessary (It was not. I had no gastro issues, I was having this done because my routine Cologuard was positive - which they are known to be inaccurate so the next logical step was a preventative colonoscopy to be sure, per Blue Cross and my primary care Dr). So, when BCBS determined in February that my procedure was indeed preventative and FULLY COVERED UNDER THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, all 6 providers were notified by BCBS that they would be covering costs, not the patient & then were subsequently paid by BCBS. Everyone quietly got their payments and cleared my balance, except MI Endoscopy. It is Jan 2023. I'm STILL in collections with them. I refuse to pay because they have already been paid! They were paid on 6/29/22 and still have me in collections. They received my calls, my letter and letters from BCBS that this is an ACA claim AND they cashed the June, 2022 check! They either still have me in collections because their billing department is incompetent or missed connecting with me/this payment, or (refer back to phone conversation) is just being stubborn. 3 . My husband needs his preventative colonoscopy this year. We will not be using this office because of their staff. Dr's need to remedy the staff issues before we would use their services again. It's too bad too because Dr. Raphael comes very highly recommended.
