There are a lot of liquor stores in this area, but On The Rocks really does a great job. For quite some time, I was collecting Scotch and other liquors, and they had no problems trying to fill requests and always had suggestions or thoughts when I needed a recommendation.

A friend recommended I check out On The Rocks for their selection and Im so happy I did! Wine, liquor, craft beer selections are all amazing (I even got a fun flavored sparkling wine Ive never seen before and it was a great price). They absolutely have the biggest hard seltzer selection Ive seen anywhere. I saw brands Ive never heard of and tons of flavors.
The staff is also so kind and willing to help. My partner was having a hard time picking out items and instead of rushing him or pushing our stuff out of the way, the staff opened a second register just to give us space and help us. Above and beyond!

Watch out they like to gouge. I wouldnt ask for anything in the back room unless you like paying an extra 25 to 30% They charged $33.00 (

Warning long but awesome review!!
If you're ever in the East Lansing, Michigan area and in need of an alcoholic/non alcoholic beverage, snack, or anything else party store related, you have to check out ON THE ROCKS WINE & SPIRITS party store! They definitely went above and beyond for me and their customer service was phenomenal so they deserve every bit of this shout out!
Backstory 12-31-23
I had called their location looking for a specific alcoholic beverage but didn't get an answer, as it was one of the busiest Holidays of the year....New Year's Eve. In the mess of calling multiple other places to try to find it (with no luck and losing hope) I got a call that I didn't recognize. I noticed it was the same area code as some of the numbers I had been calling though, so I answered it. Despite the EXTREMELY busy holiday they called back to find out what I needed! On top of that they had the beverage that I had been so desperately searching for and it was the LAST bottle they had!! It was quite a bit out of the way (20 mins off the highway) but when I got there it's like they knew who I was.
I hadn't even said a word, I had just walked in the door and they pulled the beverage from behind the counter and held it up high then put it down on the counter for me. In shock I said to them "How did you know it was me?! They replied with a shrug that they just knew. This was very impressive as they had tons of customers coming and going so it was so crazy they knew it was me upon arrival.
That was SO incredibly awesome that they called me back and held the beverage for me. This was a very sought-after and limited edition beverage so they definitely didn't have to, and could have sold it to anyone. I am sure the story I told them of what had happened earlier that day was a factor but none the less I was ever so grateful.
(What I shared with them ----> I told them how it was my Birthday. That I had been looking forward to trying the Old Smoky Mountain Mint Chocolate Chip Flavored Whiskey because it's my favorite ice cream flavor and I love anything mint/chocolate. I continued telling them how I had dropped it as I was leaving to the celebration I was going to. I almost cried as I saw it shatter on the cement and spill out. I told them how I had called nearly every place that sold alcohol between Grand Rapids and Detroit with no luck.) They said they were glad to be able to help me.
Anyway, I wanted to make sure they were given a shout out because the negative is usually what's focused on and these types of stories usually go untold or only told to a few. Exceptional customer service is truly hard to find, as is good people so definitely check this place out if you're ever in the area because they definitely deserve your business.

Stopped by for the first time today. Great beer cave and liquor selection. A pleasure meeting Rocky and Money and their outstanding customer service.
