This apartment complex is just unprofessional. The integrity of the staff is very disappointing. I ordered my daughter some Valentines day flowers to be delivered but surprisingly she was home here in Detroit with me. The Instacart driver from Kroger sent me a text to let me know that he was having problems finding her building. I instructed him to take them to the leasing office. He texted me back to inform me that he dropped them off. The next day 2/15/24 my daughter arrived back up in East Lansing and went to the leasing office and they did not the flowers that were left for her. This is so sad. Please do not rent this apartment complex!

Honestly it was so bad I wish I could rate it a zero, the staff are no help maintenance is no help. They will try to charge you randomly for things and you have to try and dispute it and even after they still dont refund you. I got charged 500$ for my roommates dog pooping all over my carpet when i was in the bathroom one night. THE KEYS ARE THE WORST its literally a hotel key and its impossible to keep track of because if you put it in your wallet it resets your card you put it in your purse it resets it you put it next to your phone it resets it AND HALF THE TIME IT JUST DIDNT WORK. Absolutely worst place I ever lived I constantly got harassed by neighbors i got woken up at 5 am every morning to SCREAMING children and a baby the walls are paper thin. The staff are stuck up and very judgmental and otherwise no help whatsoever

I honestly do not know where to start. I moved in in August of 2023, and the apartment was super dirty, granted there was a previous resident still living there that renewed their lease, so the common areas could not have been cleaned, but my bedroom was also super dirty. That was the first issue. After a couple weeks we noticed cockroaches, which is absolutely disgusting. I submitted many maintenance requests and so did one of my roommates. The problem persisted for months. Many of the maintenance requests were responded to with "there are no signs of cockroaches." I resorted to trying to fix the problem myself by making sure the entire apartment was as clean as possible. I set traps and one of my roommates even bought a spray that the club suggested we buy to help. Orkin did come a couple times, but only could come once every two weeks, but unfortunately this did not help and they did not come that often. I was sick for the entire 4 months that I was in that unit, with just feeling generally under the weather, sometimes a cough or stuffy throat, fatigue, etc. The dishwasher also did not actually clean the dishes, which we did not submit a maintenance request for like we should have, but it was still annoying and we had more pressing issues. We finally were able to move out of that unit in December after 4 months of living with cockroaches. I will say that in this first unit, maintenance requests for lights and the sink were all responded to very quickly and we even got a new microwave quickly, but it does little compared to the other issues. Upon changing our lease over to a new unit, we did have to increase our cost of rent, but it was a nicer unit and has generally been good. We also received a compensation of a couple hundred dollars which was appreciated. It did take a while to get two of the drawers that were missing. We also have 2 bar stools instead of 4 and no dining table, which is supposed to be included. Our dryer takes 2 hours to dry clothes instead of 1 1-hour cycle no matter whether the load is small or large. And when a maintenance request was submitted, we were told to do smaller loads and that nothing is wrong with it. Having to run the dryer twice increases the cost of our utilities. This new unit is a 4-bed, 4-bath but there are only two of us, so that is extremely nice and feels like fair compensation for the terribly conditions of the last unit. As of today, we were told a new roommate will be moving in as a water line has broke in her current unit. We were informed with no date or time estimate of when she would move in or how long she would be staying, but we were told she could have the choice to move back or stay with us. So, yet again, another massive change to how we are living here. We will now have to readjust to living with another person by moving everything that we have stored in the kitchen to accommodate a temporary/permanent third resident. I now will feel mildly uncomfortable in my apartment. As someone with social anxiety, my home is my safe place where I'd like to feel as comfortable as possible. I also struggle to connect with people quickly. So hearing this is very frustrating and upsetting. I understand it is a 4-bedroom unit, but after all of the issues we've had here, it is hard to be understanding with this. I also do not see why this new roommate would be offered a chance to stay in our unit for the rest of her lease as she should just have to move back when the repairs are complete. Another issue we've had is the amenities, which are a huge reason why people sign with certain complexes. The gym and yoga/dance room is great. The game room with a pool table, ping pong table, checkers, etc. is good. The pool on the other hand has been a constant issue. The pool has not been functional at all since we moved in in august. So it has been broken for 3/4 of our lease, and it was part of the reason we chose the club. We also have no idea when we will be able to use it again. The office staff have been great though and always seem happy to help.
