        Okay okay.. so we just came back from our trip to Italy and were searching for good gelato back in Detroit.. and this place delivers! The gelato is legit. The pistachio flavor is so good. Affagato with vanilla gelato was a hit. We are coming back for sure!

        It's a good place, but it's not as good as the rating. Average gelato, nice flavors. The flight is served in cheap to go containers and can kill the experience of it. So keep low expectations.

        The ice cream here is fantastic. You can genuinely taste the flavors and real ingredients, and experience what makes gelato the real thing. Italian gelato with Michigan flavors and ingredients is a great combination. It's a cozy, friendly spot. It's a fun treat to have a little place to sit and have your ice cream or coffee (which is also very good) or pastry, and read one of the various newspapers they have in place. I've come a couple of times with my son before or after another activity in Detroit. It's very easy to get to and park at.

      We appreciate you giving Momento an honest review Rohan. Flights used to be served in nice glassware but we seemed to have gotten away from that. Plastic is not a good alternative.You had high expectations going in and we didn't live up to it. We'll take your suggestions to heart.Thanks for the nice photo.

      Three of the best, in our opinion Linda. Pistachio was one of the first gelatos we created -unsalted pistachios direct from a farm in California. We grind them just before blending with milk, cream and sugar. And that's it: no additional flavorings. Fresh-brewed coffee is all that we use for the Coffee Chocolate Stracciatella "slivers". The cherries are Amarena from Bologna Italy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
