Devenir District - 439 Selden

Building is horribly maintained. No cleaning is done. Elevator never works. Smells horrible. I have had tons of problems with heat not working, pipes not working, no hot water, wifi problems. Do not come here. The photos I saw before coming are very different than what I got.

Do not live here! It is a dangerous place where they do not take safety seriously. I was put in a unfinished unit, which they promised would be fixed up by the time I moved in and it took weeks. I did not even have running water in my shower, or an AC unit in the dead heat of summer. At one point I had issues with the lock on my door not working and getting stuck which was scary in a building that is never secure. The doors were always left open by other tenants, or worse, broken into. One tenant punched their hand through a glass door to get inside during broad daylight. This is a very loud place with rude and inconsiderate tenants throughout. Often times yelling, playing loud music, and slamming doors late into the night. Domestic arguments almost nightly which often had police involved. When I decided to leave early because I felt incredibly unsafe in this environment, it cost an absolute fortune to buy out. I understood that was the agreement I signed and paid it, yet they still sent my bill to collections as unpaid and now I am very unhappily dealing with that, with no help from them. This place should be shut down. It is a slum, and not a good or safe place to live. When I moved here I was in need of an inexpensive place to live on a short timeline and they took advantage of me.
