        It's so quiet and peaceful here. I love all the native plants, and the reconstructed prairie is beautiful. I've seen so many different kinds of pollinators and birds here. It's like they know it's the perfect respite. One of my favorite parks.

        Awesome place, we all need to do our part and plant more NATIVES! Regular ornamentals often become invasive or serve little ecological value as many animals/insects/bugs rely on specific host plants (i.e. Monarchs) Only con is that I wish there were more flowers than trees. Still many flowers though. I hope you guys get more funding though, seems like its an entire volunteer/retiree effort.

      Thank you! A native plant park should be a part of every community. Douglas Tallamy in his book "Bringing Home Nature" identifies Oak (Quercus) as the top supporter of our lepidoptera species. 517 Willow (Salix) 456Cherry, Plum (Prunus) 448Many trees support and depend on our native plants.
