Rankin Audiology and Hearing

The professional, kind, and prompt care at Rankin Audiology has made a real difference in my life. I have severe and complex hearing problems. Over the years they have always been frank and realistic about options, and coached me to improve function when technology could not perfectly solve a problem. At one point, Dr Rankin even recommended that I not get the newest technology and save my money for something really useful to my needs in the future. Several years later, she suggested trying hearing aids that were a leap forward.

My Medicare advantage insurance plan pays for an annual visit to get my hearing tested. I went to Dr. Rankins office and they courteous, friendly and professional and I will be going back there every year.

I took my mom to Dr Rankins before the holidays started. They were very patient and explained all of the options available to her. It definitely made it a better Thanksgiving!

Still have not corrected the wrong hearing aids and instead of righting their wrongs, they beat their chest about how they dont have complaints from other customers when 95% of their customers are elders who lost hearing, not people born deaf, and thats the disconnect, the hearing test given was rushed and not well done, rather than understand the difference between types of hearing aids meant for those with profound loss against types made for those who eventually lose their hearing from old age, redo the test and get the right units sent they wanna dump me because i rightfully voiced my frustration with their services. Yes, your elders can get appointments right away but poor deaf people gotta wait months for an appointment. This debacle is far from over and most likely will end up in court. Simply because you refused to give me the right hearing aids due to feels being hurt. And the funny thing is? The first hearing aids they ordered were wrong, the second ones were just the same ones. They didnt even get different units. They have a facade up and you have to be someone who has used hearing aids your whole life to see where they are going wrong on tests and units. I been getting hearing aids for 35 years and this is the first time I had a hearing test rushed and wrong units given to me. Again, they will try and defend themselves by USING their elders' satisfactions.

Dr. Rankin's model of care is truly patient-centered. It's a delightfully welcoming environment with wonderful people, and it's where I would want my family members to go for their hearing needs. I know they would be well looked after!
