Prior to being owned by Jellystone my family has been coming up to Lake Huron Campground for 12 straight years staying in their "cozy cabins" we decided to take a one day trip to experience a nice time away for labor day to only findout they ruined a once amazing campground. The cozy cabins use to sit along the water front and were nicely spaced out and angled for privacy. However they changed everything, the grass area in front of the fence line has been covered in gravel so no more fishing and the cabins have been replaced with "deluxe cabins" however these deluxe cabins are sandwiched in only a foot apart with no room for sitting outside and no room for a bonfire or picnic table. The cozy cabins that were once there were moved to the back of the campground once again all lined up in a row with no room for hanging out as your vehicle takes up half the lot and having two cars would fill the entire thing (cabins use to have dedicated parking behind the cabin)and no space around a fire with an extremely small bonfire pit and your neighbors bonfire pit is only a couple feet away so zero privacy. Once we got to our site we instantly turned around and got a refund less than 20 mins being there. When we called to book they told us cabin 6 was availible. (We were unaware the cabins got moved) we asked if this is the one on the corner by the water (were it use to be) and the lady said yes. We packed the car and drove an hour and a half to relaize cabin 6 was moved to the back of the campground with TV removed and porch railing gone but most importantly the once amazing water front view was replaced with a bathouse and gravel road. It's sad to say we will never be returning and even sadder to see this place at half capacity on a major weekend when it use to always be filled with year long waiting lists. These cabins use to be $125 (Holiday Rate) a night when there was still an outdoor pool now they want $250 with nothing added except for an inflatable obsacle course in the middle of the lake. Do not rely on images to see what your getting as only show Lake Huron Campground pre Jellystone. The greed of Jellystone ruined a once amazing campground. This hidden gem turned Into a corporate test ground.

Really enjoyed our stay at a full hookup. It's definitely worth the money imo. WiFi needs improvement. More
