Unfortunately, some issues are hard to detect without assembling the item, which we obviously do not have the time or manpower to do. If you are still within 30 days of when you picked the item up, you are welcome to return it to either location for a refund.

While I understand your frustration, unfortunately, in many cases, it is difficult to get an accurate quote until the item is actually packed for shipping. It is for that reason that we put the following note on the bottom of the quoting page:** Note that shipping costs displayed here are estimates only. Actual costs may vary.We do not make money on shipping items - all we are asking is that the customer pays what we have to pay FedEx to ship the item.

I think the fact that we have had many repeat customers over the years we have been running our auctions says that issues with the items sold are not "typical". In addition, we do work with customers in the event of any issues, despite all items being sold AS IS. There is also no "new rule" - what the customer is referring to is that we are becoming more strict on how long we will hold items after the auction ends before considering them "abandoned". Our terms have always stated that items are considered abandoned if they are not paid for AND picked up 8 calendar days after the end of the auction. While we have in the past allowed additional time as a courtesy, due to customers abusing that courtesy and taking up space in our warehouse, we have had to shorten the additional time that we allow. This customer is basically upset because items he purchased back at the beginning of January were relisted in mid-February (almost 6 weeks after the auction ended) and he was not able to get them.
