        Do not use their services. Id leave less than 1 star if able. Their policies protect them and care very little for the consumer. There are other more experienced and helpful companies to work with.

        We recently stayed at a property up at Boyne Mountain; the house was beautiful and extremely clean. Fantastic accommodations. More importantly, I accidentally left some important personal items behind. Days went by before I realized I had forgotten them. I contacted the property manager, Renee, and she personally got back to me (on a Sunday, no less) that they had my items and would ship them back to me. I got them four days later. Fantastic company and business, with amazing homes for rent and high integrity that you love to see. Highly recommend and I will be using them again.

        We have stayed at the Edgewater Inn almost every summer for 20 years. Theres no better view in Charlevoix. Recently we had a little bit of a issue with our reservation this summer, and Keith Stark, the VP of hospitality, went out of his way to help us get it straightened out, and to make sure everything was good. Fantastic customer service!

        I was excited to have a large tub in my unit. Packed bath salts and cozy robe. No hot water. When I called for help, responses were why did you call so late?, did you purchase insurance?. I agree with other dissatisfied consumers, that the management company is cold. Just like their showers. Edited for owner response: The options given to me at 9:15pm were to wait until after midnight, or wait until the next morning. The profanity used remains the same; at $300/night, it is ****ing ridiculous to leave someone without hot water.

      Hi Susan,Our cancellation policies are very clear; we do not accept cancellations within 60 days of arrival, especially when you try to cancel 6 days prior to your arrival. As mentioned before in our previous conversation, we recommend you purchase Traveler's Insurance, as we cannot be responsible for your inability to travel due to the weather. These terms are on our website and you had to read and accept them in order to book one of our properties. As always, we try to re-rent the unit and give you a refund, but that wasn't an option in this case so we had to enforce our mutually agreed to and understood cancellation policy.We never want to see anyone have a bad experience, but you accepted the terms and conditions and regrettably didn't purchase travel insurance, as we advise all of our clients to do, so there was no cancellation allowed.Sincerely,Northern Michigan Escapes

      Hi Amanda,We're sorry you experienced an inconvenience during your stay. Reflecting on your past stay, we received a phone call from you at 9:14 pm on our after hours emergency phone. You received an immediate return call where you were given some options as well as tried to troubleshoot the issue. Unfortunately your response was to hang up, but not before you used profanity. As we mentioned on the phone, the building did have hot water. We run on one system and if our other units did not have hot water, you would not have been the only unit calling. We also checked in with you prior to your departure, which was 6 months ago, and you had said all was great! We wish you would have addressed your concerns in February, versus writing about them 6 months later. Regardless, we hope you were still able to enjoy our beautiful town.
