DO NOT BUY HOMES FROM THEM!! I had 4 water leaks in the house within the first year of a NEW CONSTRUCTION and a gutter damage which led to damaging my newly build patio, soffit, and the walls. The builder will keep saying that they'll send people etc etc. DO NOT BELIEVE IT. They'll only come at their convenience, probably after 6months of us complaining and repeatedly reminding. David, is a very approachable person but does a very bad job at being responsive and responsible. The gutter of my house was temporarily fixed and has already started to break. Mind you, this home has only been 1 year old. GET A LAWYER ON THE CLOSING DATE IF YOUR BUYING A HOME FROM WINNICK HOMES. You'll either end up fixing the damages yourself or paying a lawyer to talk to the builder/ or for further actions. Another name is Kimberly -- one of the least professional agent. The closing date was moved 3 TIMES not for a couple of weeks but to 3 months!!! I had to pay money to the loan people to keep the interest rate.

I've never been so disappointed in my life. I can't believe that the builder has been ignoring us for months we closed in July and had severe water damage in September with the roof having to be replaced on part of the home and the water damage was never repaired to the walls in our dinning / study room . We've been ignored By the builder and the city of Warren. I was really hoping this experience was gonna be a pleasurable and proud experience but instead it's been more embarrassing And frustrating than anything. We also have water /wet areas in the basement with 2 holes in the floor and extensive cracks. The walls on the main floor are at a slant as if I live in a house of mirrors I brought it to the builder's the attention that was never addressed either, there has been molding work that was never installed in the master bathroom that has also been ignored . I guess I'm going to have to go a step further. I was hoping it didn't come to this but I can't even enjoy my home.

I do like the home we purchased, but our home inspector did find several issues that the builder did address. Basically, the contractors cut corners and performed lower quality work, like not running the flashing on the side of the house over the brick and other things like that. They also DID NOT follow the plans they submitted to the city and built 2 escape windows in the basement. They installed the sump pump on the wrong side of the house and told us they would take care of the install because of their mistake. I was forced to fix it after several months of David Gans avoiding my calls. If I were to buy from them again, I wouldn't. They even offered a warranty on the house, but you can't get them to repair anything, so the warranty is worthless.
