        Failed to do his fiduciary duty to protect my child, feels he can bully and scream over the phone at his client's. Worst experience ever regarding an attorney even if he was free. Very unprofessional, justified damaging medication to a child as resiliency. Doesn't even deserve a law degree.

        DO NOT HIRE MATTHEW BOUCHER!!!!!! I made the mistake of hiring Mr. Boucher on a custody case... He did LITERALLY NOTHING. I wish I was exaggerating. Nothing. One week before our hearing I had yet to hear anything from him, so I contacted his office firm. Letting them know I no longer needed him. Than, of course was immediately responded to. I stuck with my decision as I was absolutely disgusted with the fact he had taken over $3,600 from me with absolutely no refund at all & nothing to show. He filed a motion to withdraw from the case... HE DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP TO BE REMOVED!!! His partner, who I had never even so much as met showed up on his behalf. Please, for the love of god do not waste your time & money. It will not end well for you or anyone involved. He is a joke. He doesn't care about his clients or their cases, just the check!

        I hired Mr. Boucher to represent me in a custody case for my infant son. He informed me that there would be many hearings before a final verdict was made. He also neglected to educate me on the legal processes and documentation that would be vital to my case, prior to the first court hearing. Upon the "first hearing" I realized that this would be the first and ONLY hearing over the custody of my young child. Additionally, Mr. Boucher did not speak during my hearing. I wish I was exaggerating when I say that he did not speak a single word during this hearing. I spoke on my own behalf and was extremely under prepared to do so. After paying Mr. Boucher $3,000, I contacted him directly to address my displeasure with his representation to which he replied, "I am no longer your representative". Unfortunately, I would highly caution against hiring Mr. Matthew Boucher for any family legal services.

      Chantal, thank you for the review.You came to our firm regarding a very young infant child. In fact, you contacted one of our attorneys on social media in the middle of the night. We try to ensure that we are always available.You had significant concerns about the child’s biological father and their safety. We took your concerns very seriously and explained how the law would ensure your child’s safety and restrict any ability of the father to harm the minor child.After preparing for your matter by spending a significant amount of time on telephone calls, research, advice, office meetings, staff time and office resources, you indicated you no longer needed our services one week before Court, demanding a full refund because ‘no work,’ was performed. That is not accurate, as work consists of many other things beyond court time, as you were made aware in your contract. We can certainly understand how it could feel that ‘no work,’ is performed when you cannot tangibly have something in your hand, but lawyers are paid for their time, expertise and knowledge – not just time in court.You chose to get back into a relationship with the child’s father shortly before our hearing, against our advice. We truly hope that this is in the child’s best interests.We are happy you were able to resolve your legal matter and we sincerely hope that there are no further issues down the road for the sake of yours and your child’s safety. If there are any issues, we will be here ready to assist you and your child.
