Not well marked when heading north to Kellogg forest. When you get to the first road, make sure you go right, not left as the arrow may indicate. The trail is open despite what any sign may say. When you get to the covered bridge in Kellogg forest, continue straight on the vehicle path for another half mile or so past the bridge. You will see a trail that goes left and follow that then right at the fork to continue northbound to 89.

Good staging for your NCT hike. Long long wet grass on this section to the next road north.
