One of the most rudest receptionist/front desk person I have encountered so far. She was so rude towards my family. Would never step in this place again.

I usually file my own taxes, but I screwed something up. The amount I was supposed to pay was unusually high, so I went to the Block and I actually got money back. They are very pricey, but it ended up being a net gain. I was able to schedule an appointment the day before, and I didn't have to wait when I got there. Everything went smoothly.

My husband and I got our taxes done here this year. What a mistake. It has been the single handed most frustrating experience of my life. We actually ended up with 6 different visits before our taxes were actually filed.
First, we had an appt with Roger. We handed him some physical paperwork and uploaded other paperwork onto the H&R Block site. Together both sources included all of our information. We went in to sign our return when Roger was done only to notice that every document uploaded to the H&R Block was never looked at or included in our return, including my husbands W2. Roger told us he never saw those documents and then proceeded to hand us a folder with those exact documents printed out from their website (we didnt do that so he had to have). But he conveniently never saw them. Interesting. So, we decided to leave and reschedule with a new tax professional. Came back for this appointment and were told no one was available to finish our taxes that day. Despite having a confirmed appointment. Then after a long discussion with the stand in manager we were gas lit and talked down to because we should have noticed the error in our taxes during our original appointment with Roger. Isnt that your job to look over the paper work? Thats why we pay, no? After this long conversation, we asked for our paperwork back. They couldnt find it. We sat in the lobby until they did. The manager of the office Carmella called us the following Monday apologizing and saying that she could personally do our return so that we could move on. We agreed and came back to an appt with her. We sat in the office for an hour with her going through the return only for her to tell us that my husband had too much paperwork to finish that day. Even though it had been uploaded to their site this whole time so there is no reason they couldnt have gotten it input before the appointment. Laziness I suppose. So, we scheduled a video appt with her the next day to finish it up. Surprise! Carmella was 30 minutes late to the appointment with no message. I had to call her to see what was going on. We are beyond over it at this point and just want to be done. Finally, taxes are done and we get a link to virtually sign. Another surprise! H&R Block website is down! We try for a few days then call Carmella back to tell her we cant virtually sign and we need to come in to do it. Our 6th appt. She wont be there so she tells us shell leave the return at the desk for us to come in and sign so it can be filed. Fine. We come in. SHE DIDNT LEAVE THE DOCUMENTS. We shouldnt be surprised at this point, but we are at the sheer incompetence of this office. Someone else takes us to their desk and we finally get them printed and signed. Ask for our papers back again - they cant find them again. Eventually the front desk attendant Shannon finds them. She has actually been the only helpful one this whole time.
Long story short - we will NEVER return here and I highly suggest you dont either. I have never experienced such laziness, lack of care for customers, sheer disorganization. Absolutely outrageous and disgusting that customers would be treated as such. On top of it all, we still had to pay for our return. They did give us $150 off, as they should, but it does NOT make up for the headache we had to go through. So unprofessional. If I could give negative stars I would.
