I've been a patient for a couple of years and have been pleased with the care. Except for one thing: their phones are always busy. At first I thought it was a technical problem, but it happens too much to be so. I've come to believe the phone is taken off the hook. When I go to an appt. I never hear the phone ring. All of which is okay - until there is a problem, like, e.g., a very sore foot. I'm going to have to find another doctor.

Dr. Santoro was very rude and condescending worse experience Ive ever had in my life will never come back here ever again terrible customer service and was very rude to a amazon driver that stopped in to deliver a package.

Dr. Santoro was initially seen because of my fallen arches . He made an evaluation of my feet and walking style. From that he crafted me a pair of custom arch supports which were extremely helpful in relieving my foot pain to this day, several years later. After that he continued to take care of my feet and toe nails as a diabetic for several years without any significant foot problems. In addition, he is very friendly to the point that I enjoy having him care fo my feet. Lynn W. Blunt, M. D. Retired Forensic Psychiatrist

I was looking for a doctor in Ann Arbor MI and called Dr. Santoro's practice on Stadium. I've rarely been treated so badly by *any* type of customer service. I was spoken to with a condescending disrespecting tone. Staff told me that my insurance was inactive (it's not), and that I would be charged the full out-of-pocket amount even if it were active. She said if insurance was indeed verified by another search, even if before my appointment, I would be have to be charged, and then reimbursed. She was really nasty and dismissive. I will be looking elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Santoro because my podiatrist, Dr. Sellinger, will only be doing home visits. I just had him clip two toenails that are deformed. His technique was totally different from my previous doctor's and I wasn't pleased. It took a lot longer because he had me soaking my feet for 15 minutes or so. Then it was painful when he cut the nails and one of them bled. One toe is still throbbing this evening after a morning appointment, and I have instructions to soak again in vinegar water. However, when Dr. Sellinger did the same procedure, there was no pre or post soaking, no pain at all, and nothing bled. In addition, Dr. Santoro talked a blue streak the entire time about how insurance was going to change in the future and patients would have to pay cash for everything. He kept asking me detailed health questions saying it was all necessary to make sure insurance covered it. He just went on and on and on. Very annoying! I'm sure my toenails will be fine, but I didn't expect to have a recovery period from the clipping and I won't be going back there next time.
