        I called this place asking for help today. They were full but kindly referred me to a list of others and I was able to find help same day!! The receptionist, whoever you are, please know you helped me and my family tremendously today. Thank you for being kind despite having a full facility.

        You can't make an appointment. They ask you to send an email and they will match you with a therapist. I received an email over a week and half after I sent the intital inquiry explaining they couldn't offer a therapist. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Ever! The worst example of how mental health facilities are failing families!

      Thank you for your comment. We understand your distress, and share your frustration that because our therapists’ practices are frequently full, we cannot provide services to all who seek them. When that is the case, it is our practice to respond within a week with referrals to other therapists who might be a good match with regard to both their areas of expertise and their participation in insurance panels. We are keenly aware of the the difficulties many families experience trying to access mental health services in our area. Within Ann Arbor Center for the Family, we are revising our procedures to improve our response time, and to facilitate outside referrals when we are unable to provide care ourselves. We appreciate your feedback, and invite you to call the Center if you would like to discuss this further with one of our managing affiliates.
