The birthday club during week day mornings allows you to call in birthdays and anniversaries to be announced on air. Julie has put together a winning staff, as the station has won many many awards. Including station of the year several times. They can be found at 103.9. The thank a vet event raises thousands of dollars every year. All the money stays in the county. At Christmas time they have a contest you can enter to win 1,039 dollars. This is a popular contest. In 2019, there were over 14,700 entries. On Fridays you have several chances to win two pounds of meat. On Memorial Day they broadcast a virtual parade. It was very well done. I enjoyed it very much. June 9, 2020 55 years on the air. Congratulations. I remember when they played oldies all the time. That is my fondest memory. The latest contest had 7,630 entries. You won 1,039 dollars and could gave the same amount to whoever you wanted. They have a birthday club for kids. 2021 saw the station win it's 7th consecutive station of the year award for the state of Michigan. For the 8th year in a row, WLEN has been named station of the year.
