Grand Traverse Resort and Spa

Staff was friendly although check in only had one person staffed. She was amazing under pressure actually. My room, although nicely updated, was not clean. I had melted pink candy stuck on the desk and a toilet that had not been cleaned.

I absolutely love this place! In a previous professional role, we would attend annual conferences at the Grand Traverse. Lots of great memories with colleagues, friends and family! The hotel was always clean and comfortable. The restaurants and catered food were always tasty! It's a great place to go to relax or work and the views never disappoint!

Newly remodeled rooms have some hiccups. Stayed in the main hotel, two queen room. The shower was COLD due to lack of design! Half glass and opened on the end, leaving u exposed to cold air your entire shower! Due to the smaller size of the bathroom, the shower head is ceiling mounted, which also lacks pressure :/ Rooms were nice and clean, called the front desk for a service which never came ( i didnt hold it against them bc i presume they were short staffed) Shops are nice and well maintained. Wish they had at least one more simple dining area (they are currently under construction for a restaurant, so I'm sure that made the main floor restaurant much busier than usual) Pool/ hut tubs were clean kept and all in working order. Rooms: Most of the rooms are newly remodeled Food & drinks: Two restaurants on the main level plus I believe another spot to grab appetizers and drinks. Noteworthy details: Many indoor shops. Kids store, candy shop, several boutique clothing stores, and a wedding planning center. Also have a small arcade, bowling, and ax throwing.

The resort was wonderful. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn't ready quite at 4 but we were able to explore the resort while we waited. Room was a corner room on the 14th floor of the tower over looking the bay. It was comfortable and spacious enough for us. Shower does drain on the slow side but the water is nice and hot. We only had a drink in the tap room which is in an odd location as people have to pass by with luggage carts to get to rooms and the pool area. But the staff was friendly. Pool was nice. A tad cold for me, but not freezing. I'm just a baby lol Outdoor adults only hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. My boyfriend had a golf lesson at the club house and had a wonderful experience. I had a pedicaure which was nice but very expensive for a pedicure. We didn't eat at the resort so I can't comment on the food. I do wish they had a place to get a "fancy" coffee at the resort and the shops do cose early. Overall the stay was worth what I paid for and we will be back. Rooms: Beautiful view from the tower. Hot shower and very spacious Nearby activities: Shuttle to the casino putt putt just about 5 minutes away
