Never been treated so rudely. I've been going to this post office for twenty five years and have never seen this clerk, never been treated so badly. He wouldn't get off his phone, I waited for 5 minutes for him to come out of the back room. I was there only one there. I called out for him, and he said I was being rude. Really, what do you call it when you don't have time to take care of customers. Oh...gaslighting... It was all my fault that I could get service. Maybe there post office should screen their employees better for work ethic, or are they just that desperate fort help post pandemic.

Never in 25 years have I been accused of being rude. I was the only one there, but the clerk was talking on his phone as I stood in the lobby waiting for stamps. When i knocked on the glass to get his attention, he came out an accused me if being rude. But his behavior was acceptable ? ...I think not. Someone has to screen these employees for work ethic. Being a millennial or gen x is not an excuse for bad work ethic. It's seems to be an excuse for less than acceptable behavior though. It may be a just a small town post office... Not really, this is traverse city mi., and After teaching for the last twenty years in traverse city, I've seen the bad behavior too many times. I find this common behavior unacceptable. Even cats in a litter don't tolerate certain behavior... But apparently the USPS does, and does nothing to correct or train it's employees.

Small town post office should not mean they talk on their cell phones and make customers wait. I waited patiently in the lobby as I listened to the postal worker in the back talking on his phone. Couldn't see him, her obviously didn't pay attention to me coming in... Outer ignored it...so I yelled 'is anyone there'... He came out, and said that I was being rude which developed into a winner conversation about my rudeness. Ok, so her performed that as rude, but there fact that he's talking on his phone and ignoring my presence isn't. This is what the world has comes to... Being run by millennials and gen x snowflakes. I find this common in the post pandemic era with other businesses as well. Apparently hiring people out of desperation, not on credentials, ability, manners, good with ethic and not on the phone all the time.
