My husband and I have stayed here two years in a row on our anniversary/his birthday weekend. Lynne is a fantastic innkeeper/hostess/chef! She really took the time to get in touch with us before our visit to be sure everything was going to be to our liking. She will make your visit what you wish... if you want the historic tour, you'll get it! If you want privacy and peace and quiet, she'll just be there when you need her. The house has wonderful character and charm and so much history. The fire was roaring when we arrived and the entire visit felt like a special getaway for us from work and the kids, even if it was only a few towns away. I would go just for breakfast if I could, homemade and delicious.
