Baystate Convenient Care – Westfield

My Primary wasnt able to get me in so they recommended Westfield Convenient Care. Everyone was very kind and they were very efficient in getting me in to see someone. That part of my experience was pleasant and appreciated. However, I was extremely sick when I went into this office. I had been sick for 4 days and was getting worse by the day. I was taking Mucinex but it was not touching what I had. I really thought I needed an antibiotic but they wouldnt prescribe me one. They insisted it was viral and I was told to come back if I got to day 7 of being sick. I continued to get worse by the day so I returned for another appointment. Thankfully this time the NPR acknowledged how sick I was and prescribed an antibiotic, prednisone, and an inhaler. I really feel like we could have caught this had the first NPR prescribed antibiotics during my first visit. I ended up missing 14 days of work which I had to take unpaid bc I dont have that much sick time. People have to work so making them wait a week before youll prescribe an antibiotic doesnt make sense. Im not sure if this is a regular practice but if it is I think it should be reevaluated as people cannot afford to be out of work 2-3 to weeks when they get sick.

I'm glad this convenient care office has opened. Friendly office staff and knowledgeable medical staff. I had a good experience.

Everything was timely. We left with answers and comfort. Nikki was a wonderful doctors and the nurses and office staff were wonderful as well

All the staff was super nice and helpful. Best urgent care in town by far. So sad to hear that it will be closing.

Great experience. Wonderful friendly staff. Thank you all so much for being there during these uncertain times. They are always so professional and understanding. Thank you all very much. I can not believe they are closing the union st location. I am so upset by that.
