Absolutely the worst real estate closing experience! I was the point person for a real estate transaction my husband was getting from Florence Bank. Atty Walker charged us $1035 for a refinance that had me doing all the legwork to get payoff info, water bill payment info, etc. When I questioned his outrageous fee, he got all pis*ed off and said he would have lowered the price but didnt like the way I asked (which was me saying that I was questioning going through with the closing unless he would lower the fee). Then he said, weve already done the work so you already owe the money so Ill see you at the closing. (Paraphrased) But then he sent an associate to conduct the literal 10-minute closing because he said it would be too uncomfortable for him to be there. I was not at the closing, but my husband said the associate clearly didnt know what he doing. Walkers ability to write a professional email was also strangely absent he would use capital letters in the middle of a sentence for no reason, he would write incomplete sentences and he seemed like he legitimately didnt know how to communicate. Even after sending a confirmation email to remind his office of the correct address to send the payout check to, they still sent it to the wrong address. Ive been to hundreds of real estate closings in my life and this was by far the worst experience ever. No doubt he will deflect deflect deflect when/if he sees this review (as he did throughout the process), but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
