My friend and I visited Shiki Shabu Shabu on a busy Saturday night, and the staff was personable and attentive. We had the house and tonkatsu broth, which were both light and flavorful. For cocktails, I recommend the Paloma, and it was refreshing. Everything from the ambiance down to the food was terrific. However, there isnt a sauce bar, but dont be shy and order your hotpot essentials with the staff. Their soy sauce is fantastic; trust me, theres something special about it. Jing, the owner, came by multiple times to check up on our table, and in between checking in, he was also behind the bar helping the servers make cocktails. A+ for being a hands-on owner! I would drive another 40 minutes for this experience again!

The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive of everyone who goes there. They have a lot of passion for the restaurant as a whole and makes you feel like you're at home. I recommend their Tonkotsu broth! All their meat and seafood selections tastes very fresh. They make their own special soy sauce and i recommend mixing it with sesame and shacha sauces with minced garlic and green onions. Their cocktails are very delicious and well balanced. The owner also makes a very good shot with Lychee Martini and Empress Gin. Thank you Jing and staff! I appreciate the hospitality tonight! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Our family was looking forward to this new hotpot place. The atmosphere and service, and even the food were all pretty good. Here's the problem, it's vastly overpriced! We order a plate of tofu for $6, and got 4 pieces. Same for a plate of fish cake for $6, only 4 pieces. Come on, this is ridiculous! They even charged for the dipping sauce if you want more than the house soy sauce. The final bill came to $71 without tax, and the 4 of us were still hungry. We had to eat more food once we got home. This is just not acceptable. I do not recommend this place unless you have a wad of money to splurge. Thumbs down!
