What happened to this place? This used to be the best Chinese food on the Island and beyond. After tonight we will never be back. It's a shell of what it once was, also there is fried shrimp and chowder on the menu now. Why?! This used to be the place we came to escape that food on the Vineyard. After living here 3 years and many many meals and good memories here...we miss the old food and servic. Sad to see it now. Editing to respond to the "owner". The menu is completely different. I haven't a clue what your talking about. It's obvious that a change his happening when you have added the fried food and chowder. "Copper Anchor"? Seriously used to be the one of the best places on the island. The menu is not only different the quality is terrible, so yes a 1 star review is nessesary and was never left before even when I got food poisoning there in the past as did my children. Don't worry about our business, we have spent plenty there in the past and sent many others there as well. Not anymore.

Copper Wok is a great place to stop after biking to Vineyard Haven. Chicken Skewers were the bomb and so was the Lobster Roll & Fries. I would not recommend the popcorn chicken though it did taste like it was frozen and then cooked in an air fryer. It was not fresh. Overall a good meal.

RUN , Dont WOK!!!! Having grown up in the great state of MA. , and weaned on the fresh bounty from the ocean, one of my great joys is to visit family on the Vineyard and enjoy truly fresh seafood . With the end of the Covid crisis , daughter and grandson in tow, arrived on island a couple days ago. Fortunately my sister lives in Vineyard Haven ,so without having to fight traffic and because of great past experiences we made the stroll to the Wok . I sensed immediately something amiss, nearly dinner hour and the dining room was practically empty! Our waiter was great but proceeded to tell us what menu items they were out of, all my seafood favorites! But they did have oysters so I ordered fried belly oysters , my daughter ordered the 1/2 lb lobster roll. Well..our food came and the oysters were overcooked and were the size of a small mussel ( which I think they were) my daughters1/2 lb lobster roll must have included the weight of the plate it was served on! The rest of our food including my grandsons lo mein , was tasteless !!! I sent the faux oysters back , paid for the meal , left my deserving waiter a nice gratuity and ran!!!! What a disappointment!!!

It was never a real Chinese restaurant but it was interesting. Tonight we got General Gao Shrimp, no flavor whatsoever. Pad Thai, dry and flavorless. Even the fortune cookies were inedible. Skip it. JB needs to drop the pretense and just bring chowder company menu online.
