This is one of the greatest surgeons I have ever seen. He did a spine surgery on my daughter,ready to questions you have. Kind and gentle. I gave him a hug when my daughter came out from the surgery room.

Wow I have a lot to say about my concerns and expectations: I have been in severe back pain and felt that I needed to see a surgeon in urgently and NEOS accommodated me almost immediately (which was a GREAT surprise, frankly, from my experience as a retired nurse in a huge medical center); Dr. Cowan was wonderful. He listened carefully, considered my many concerns (in addition to the back pain) with compassion and extraordinary patience, explained treatments and procedures (that were new to me) carefully, addressed all options, and helped me come up with a logical, conservative step-by-step action plan of medical intervention to address the pain. I entered the appointment with fear and trepidation, but left having been put at ease by his warm and sympathetic manner, his treating me and my concerns as important and valid, and by his overall professionalism. I left feeling very confident that I was in good hands.
