Dr. Andrew Lam, MD

I saw Dr. Lam after an Optometrist saw a retinal hole during a routine eye exam. Being in my late 20's, I was concerned that an invasive procedure to address it could cause further issues but he took the time he needed to reassure me. I can tell that New England Retina Specialists is an extremely busy office but Dr. Lam did a wonderful job with the laser treatment and I would highly recommend him.

Dr LAM expertly repaired a retina detachment. At every stage he explained what to expect, both regarding surgery and recovery.

Couldn't imagine a better experience. So professional and capable. Great office and staff. You can feel confident with Dr, Lam. You never think about these problems until they happen, lucky to have him close by. Rest assured if anyone can fix you up, it is him.

I had been seeing a shadow in my vision and had a regular eye exam scheduled. During the exam, my regular eye doctor, Dr. David Shield, quickly sent me to New England Retina Consultants and I was seen within 3 hours. I met with Dr. Lam and was scheduled for surgery the next day at Bay State Medical Center. Dr. Lam is extremely skilled and has a great surgical team. In addition, he is kind and caring. I had 3 followup appointments at New England Retina Consultants where the office staff was always professional and competent. Yesterday was my final appointment with Dr. Lam and I left with 20/20 vision in the operated eye. I am extremely grateful for my vision which I attribute to Dr. Lam's skill. I highly recommend Dr. Lam and appreciate having such a great resource in the area.
