The Gorse Children's Center

Gorse is the only center where I would feel comfortable sending my children (infant and K-prep), especially during the pandemic. The center is extremely well organized and run, the teachers are caring and plan fun, age-appropriate learning activities for the children, they have many amazing outdoor spaces with different playgrounds and bikes, and most importantly, my kids LOVE going there everyday!

My son (now in K-prep) has been here since he was a baby; my daughter now 4 months is in the infant room and will stay at Gorse til she's off to school in 4-5 years. I love this place so much, and so do my kiddos. I know almost all the teachers, and every one of them is special and wonderful. The regular updates sent via the app throughout the day are terrific. I sent my son back, and enrolled my baby daughter into Gorse the day they reopened after the Covid-19 closures, and I feel completely at ease sending with their careful adherence to the necessary health and safety protocols. My son literally runs into school every morning and my baby girl has a big smile at the end of the day. I cannot say enough about how much I love Gorse.

Our daughter has been enrolled at Gorse for a year and we have been very pleased by our experience from the very first day. We came to Gorse quickly and unexpectedly when our childcare provider (a family member) abruptly was unable to watch our daughter anymore. The administration was so compassionate given our circumstances and worked quickly to transition our daughter into the classroom with as little stress as possible. Having no previous experience with a childcare center/facility I was hesitant and nervous at first; I wanted to make sure my daughter was receiving personal care and attention. My concerns were quickly eased. Our daughter has been thriving since joining Gorse. She learns so much each week from the diverse curriculum and has benefited from learning and growing with the other children. All of the teachers she has had so far (from the infant to toddler classrooms) have been fantastic. It is apparent that they are all compassionate for the children classroom and experienced in their profession. Our favorite thing about Gorse is the sense of community. The entire staff is personable and inclusive. Each member of my family is known by name and we always feel comfortable asking questions, communicating concerns, or just having a friendly chat. Most important of all, each day when we drop off our daughter, we know that she is well cared for by her teachers and the administration. As parents that makes us so happy and reassured that we are doing what's best for our daughter and family.
