I contacted Stacy Mafera to view an apartment the day she listed it for rent. She told me there would be an open house in 3 days. She would get back to me with the time. I never received her call/text. I found out the details of the open house on the Coldwell Banker website. At the open house, I told her I wanted to put in an application. She told me she would email me the link. I asked her to do it while we were at the open house. Even though she had her phone in hand, she gave me some excuse, and told me she would send it as soon as she got home. That was on a Saturday. Needless to say, I did not get an email from her on Saturday. On Sunday, I sent her a text with my email, just in case she lost the paper she wrote it on, or misspelled my email address. No reply. Monday was a holiday, so I figured, I would wait until Tuesday to contact her again. Tuesday, I left another voicemail in the morning. No reply. Tuesday evening, I emailed her directly. No reply. By Friday, I was extremely frustrated, so the following Monday morning, I called her boss, Roy Wilson, Vice President of the Easton office, who did not apologize for his agent's bad behavior/ghosting tactics. Instead of apologizing for his agent, his only response was, "I've only been talking to you for 10 minutes. I can't control anything that has happened before that." How about "I'm so sorry my agent has been unresponsive and unprofessional! I will make sure to coach her on this." Nope, nothing to that effect. He called Stacy, and called me back within 5 minutes to tell me that there was an application on the apartment the day of the open house, and they had been going back and forth all week! Really? Communication is KEY in a service business! At first, I was happy to complete an application. Shortly after submitting it, I could not stop thinking about how poorly I was treated, and decided that I no longer wanted the apartment because apartments are a dime a dozen, especially during this pandemic, and I refuse to reward bad behavior with a commission. If you want a professional, responsive Realtor, from my experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
