Work the World was a life changing experience. The staff and the food were AMAZING! I made so many friends from all over the world. I also got to jump in on so many things I wouldnt regularly participate in at home. For example, I was able to assist with three cesareans and even offered the opportunity to do sutures. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for medical experience while exploring and making new friends to join work the world. It was unforgettable and I will always cherish this adventure.

Been on two trips with WTW in the past (Argentina & Nepal) and had amazing experiences on both trips! It was great learning the culture and healthcare of each placement, as well as networking with other students from around the world. The WTW team is amazing at making the entire process easy and efficient. Any placement will definitely be valuable and unique!

The process of organizing a foreign placement through Work the World is simple and stress free. They provide you with all the information you could need and make sure you are supported in the build up to your trip. Their staff are very helpful in answering questions and having frequent check-in phone calls to make sure everything is set for your departure. My nursing placement in Takoradi, Ghana could not have gone any better thanks to the local and foreign support offered by Work the World.

I recently went on placement in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and absolutely loved it. The Work The World staff prepared me extremely well for my trip by contacting me via phone and email with details about what to expect in the hospital I would be working in and house I was staying in. While I was there the Work The World staff helped me feel comfortable by introducing me to the hospital staff and teaching me about the city and their culture. At the end of my two week stay I called my mom and begged her to let me stay longer because two weeks just wasnt long enough to take it all in. The friendships I made and experience I had are something I will keep with me forever. I extremely encourage anyone interested in abroad placement to take part in this program.
