        Love the town common, I park over at the old Gates school. Its fillled with beautiful trees. One of the largest oldest oak trees Ive seen. The Elephant fountain is seasonal and when they are out of the box I know the Summer season is near. The common has many war memorials. Dedicated to all those that have served. I always brought my children here when they were little and now I bring my Grandchilden. They have a few benches to sit on, read a book or just relax under a shady oak tree. They do have a trash barrel and Dogs are welcomed they just must be in a leash. I love sitting and just watching the Elephant Fountain. You can just feel the history that surrounds this place.

        Beautiful quite park off the beaten path to stop and sit. Smell the pine trees and flowers in season. Enjoy your surroundings any time of year. Check out the green plaque on the rock for some added location info.
