The dock at Ponkapoag is a fun place to hang out and go swimming with the safety of a lifeguard (during summer months). Sunsets really are especially beautiful from this spot. If you get there, and all you see is a residential neighborhood, you need to find the gate to the trail that will lead you into camp behind those houses. The gate is locked. You call the manager to get the code and pay a day use fee. Be aware that the day use parking lot is down a big hill (that you'll have to drive back up), and the road into camp is unpaved and very bumpy.

The dock is one of the many key features of the AMC Ponkapoag Camp. Durring the summer season there is a lifeguard from 11-6 Monday-Sunday free for campers and only $5 pp or $15 a family. Call the office 8-12 to get the gate code before you come son you dojt get stuck at the gate. If you do come down, make sure you stay for the sunset. They are definitely the best. Don't believe me, check out the pics. See you there. Well here.
