I enthusiastically recommend Marketing 413 to any potential clients considering their services! For 6 months, last year, I worked closely with Amanda Plaine, co-owner. She and her team were an invaluable part of the successful debut of my small business. My company, Serenade, developed a partnership with Marketing 413 that was the most natural, helpful business relationship I have had in my entire professional history. I’m extremely grateful to have worked with the team and would whole-heartedly recommend them to any small, medium, and large business owner! When I reached out to Marketing 413 I was looking for a vendor who could completely overhaul and create a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. As a new business owner with limited time or social media experience, I was seeking someone who could also educate me about the most basic fundamentals of these apps/websites. I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I also specifically wanted to find someone outside of my personal/friend network because I was apprehensive about working with someone I knew. After 3 months of searching for a business or consultant that could take on my project (and agree to my budget), I decided I needed to reach out to Amanda Plaine at Marketing 413. At first I was reluctant to include this in my review of the business but I think it’s important: this note supports the fact that this team possesses an immense amount of integrity and talent: I have known Amanda’s family for years and she is one of the most honorable, bright people I know. Even though I’ve always admired Amanda, I am so protective and new to the small business world, I adamantly did not want to hire any vendors I already knew personally – I didn’t want to mix business and pleasure and I also don’t like managing people with whom I already have a relationship. I wanted to avoid any blend of these two aspects of my life, however, Amanda and Marketing 413 proposed an incredibly professional pitch AND made a significant effort to work with my budget. From the moment I decided to hire Amanda and the team, it has been truly a lovely and enjoyable experience. For 5 months, my discussions with my designated “client partner” Amanda, have taken place at times that work with my schedule. Every question, whether it’s small or large, is answered in a timely fashion and she has anticipated my every need. It’s complicated to explain our relationship because in the last 5 months she’s completely educated me on so many aspects of social media and website presence I am a little embarrassed I didn’t reach out to her BEFORE starting my business. Another great thing about hiring this team is there were a few weeks when I needed to shift my pre-scheduled Social Media priorities. Without hesitation or attitude, Amanda and her team immediately pivoted focus and helped me thru a hard-to navigate situation I experienced as a small business owner. I feel/I felt like their only client and I know that is far from the case. Before starting my own business, I worked as a professional major fundraiser for years. I worked for a Harvard teaching hospital and a theatre company at a pretty senior level at both organizations. I’ve worked with countless consultants who were paid upwards of $50k to come into an office and overhaul social media, web presence, and web branding. Amanda and Marketing 413 far surpassed all of these consultants in 1.) skill 2.) likeability and 3.) budget. As a small business owner I think it’s imperative to support other business owners.
