Hired to do our condo balcony railings and ceilings, this company fails to show up most days, dragging our work on into the 3rd month! Yes, we had rain delays and delays due to heat but then in a recent stretch of 3 perfect days, no one shows. This is not the first time this has happened in stretches of good weather and we are left without our balconies to enjoy for most of the summer. Their bids may be low but be prepared to have the work drag on. I suggest any contract you sign with them that you include a penalty clause for not getting the work done in a timely manner.

My wife and I live in a 30-year-old colonial that was suffering from a serious lack of curb appeal.  The original ugly beige paint job was severely deteriorated and the wood siding on the west side of the house had significant warping and splitting due to years of sun exposure.  We had been considering painting the house for the last year or so and she pleaded with me to outsource the job to a professional so that she wouldn't have to spend another summer as a single mom while I spent every waking moment working on the house.   As someone who struggles to pay for services that I feel I can do myself, it is really a very pleasant surprise to find a contractor who takes as much pride in their work as John Skouras and his team.   John was incredibly responsive when I first called for a quote.  He was at my house within a day of my phone call and I had a written estimate in my mailbox less than 24 hours later.   He had great recommendations on both the paint colors and finishes for not only the siding, but also the trim, shutters and doors.  Even better, his price was incredibly competitive compared to other quotes I had received.   Having dealt with other contractors in the past, my biggest frustration by far is waiting for them to actually show up and do the work.  So, you can imagine my shock when John's team showed up less than a week after I accepted his quote to begin working.  They began work on the Tuesday before July 4th weekend and the whole job was completed in 4 days.  They showed up each morning by 7am and were incredibly efficient.  They spent about 2 days scraping/preparing the surface and replacing warped/rotted clapboards.  They started painting on Thursday and by 5pm on Friday they were folding up their drop clothes and loading the ladders back on the truck.   Not only were these guys incredibly fast, but the quality of their work was top notch.  They did a full two coats of Sherwin Williams paint on the siding, shutters and front & back doors.    They sprayed a fresh coat of white paint on all the aluminum soffits/gutters and the vinyl garage doors.  They sprayed all the aluminum downspouts to match the siding and even painted my light post and mailbox post... all things that I never even would have thought to paint if I were doing the job myself.   Long story short, I could not be happier with the final product.  The transformation my house went through in just a few days was incredible.  For weeks after the job was complete, I had neighbors slowing down as they drove by to admire the results and some even stopping to ask for John's phone number.   As I mentioned, I usually prefer to do my own work on the house and struggle to hire contractors, but this was unquestionably one of the most satisfying transactions I have ever had.  I highly recommend John Skouras and his team for your next paint job.
