    Lost all respect in the salesperson after he showed me a car with a beautiful interior, but obvious engine problems in what seemed to me to be a ploy to make the previous car more attractive. Turned it on and it was billowing out smoke and making terrible engine noise. Its check engine light was on too. I told him it's in terrible shape and he replied "makes the other one look a lot better doesn't it." That's simply not how I want to be treated when buying a car. I don't want to be the target of underhanded sales tactics. If their salesperson is willing to do that, what else would they do to force a sale? I'd avoid this place even if they had the perfect car for me. Edit to reply to their response as of 4/10/24: "Andrew, we do not sell any vehicles with obvious engine problems. Not sure what you are referencing here as we only sell serviced and warrantied vehicles." I've been wondering when you'd respond to my comment since you always reply to negative reviews to have the final word, but I am disappointed you couldn't come up with anything better than insinuating I must be mistaken. You've had days to come up with a better response than that. If you're unsure of what I'm referencing, maybe you should start the orange '18 crosstrek (VIN JF2GTABC4J8217736 if you're still not sure what I'm referencing) and see for yourself that the check engine light comes on and stays lit while smoke billows out of the tailpipe on idle. That to me is an obvious engine problem, and you might want to get it fixed if you don't sell any vehicles with obvious engine problems. This response from you gives myself, and hopefully others, some valuable insight on your willingness to feign ignorance when faced with a problem. Edit to reply to their updated response as of 4/11/24: "Andrew, we do not sell any vehicles with obvious engine problems. Every vehicle is fully serviced and warrantied. The vehicle you came to see has been sold and we are happy to report that they have not had any issues. Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate your concern. We will be sure to update you if something comes up with this persons vehicle. Please let us know if there are any other vehicles that you would like us to update you on regarding any potential issues that may come up." I still see that orange crosstrek (I checked the VIN) is listed for sale on your website as well as Carfax. This is at least 8 hours after you've updated your comment. This can mean one of two things. Either you're lying about it being sold, or you can't update your listings in a timely manner. Which is it? Even if it has been sold, it does not change the fact your salesperson made that comment to me, nor does it mean its check engine light was not on when I looked at it. You can feel free to let me know whenever your sold inventory comes back to you for problems. I would be very interested in hearing about it.
