        We had a basement flood, and -- *very* long story short -- the insurance carrier was threatening to not cover the town's required code upgrades for the repair, which amounted to $48K worth of work. Brian at Eastern Insurance went to bat for us, took over the job of pestering the carrier (which I had been doing for over a *year*), and we finally got a decision -- they are paying for the work. Maybe the outcome would have been the same without Eastern Insurance's assistance, but maybe not, and in any case it was really very comforting to have someone on our side, explaining the nuances of the situation, and then helping us with the details once the work was approved. This is what you have an insurance agent for -- I had no idea... I just couldn't recommend them more highly.
