I am posting this review for a family member William. James Hogan mortgage loan officer charged William for the mortgage application process. William asked James for his help in getting a home by the mortgage process. William said to James: "I'm looking for a nice home." James said, "This is how we get started. You need to pay me to get started and make the check out to me, not the business." Note: Red flag right there! James continues saying, "Leave it in my hands. I'll take care of everything." James claims the money due is for paperwork for the mortgage application process. Note: James should not be collecting money from William. The the mortgage company pays the mortgage loan officer directly. James collected and cashed two checks from William. William paid James Horgan a total of $8,500.00 for two checks. First check to James was on April 7, 2022 for $5,000.00. Second check to James was on May 18, 2022 for $3,500.00. Then James asked William for a third check for $1,500.00. William did not pay. William did not communicate any further. William found out later by his bank agent, when you purchase a home the mortgage company pays the mortgage loan officer directly and James should not be collecting money from you! William trusted him, sadly. Today most all mortgage applications are done electronically. But William did not know and James did not mention that they use electronic-signing now. It was only in the interest of James to benefit without delivering the goods. The mortgage process never happened and William got nothing for his money.
