We hired The Narrow Lane to redo our backyard and driveway. Before starting the project, we had a sloped yard that was overgrown with shrubs with little to no usable space. We didnt know what was possible, but after talking to Ron began to understand its potential. Over the course of the next few months, Ron and his team completely transformed our yard into a serene outdoor living area. They leveled the backyard and installed a beautiful patio, retaining wall, lighting, landscaping, and privacy fencing. They also repaved our driveway and installed pavers at the entrance. The team was incredibly professional and executed their work with a high degree of quality. Throughout the whole project Ron was considerate of our budget, and made sure that our original plans and mid-project change orders were carefully crafted to not exceed a limit we were comfortable with. We would certainly hire The Narrow Lane again and recommend them for anyone looking to redesign their outdoor space!

I hired the Narrow Lane to help me with a landscape design for my yard and I am thrilled with the plan they created for me! I moved into a new construction home recently and the yard is a completely blank slate. I don't have the budget to hire landscapers to do everything for me so I want to do much of the labor myself. However, I am a novice gardener so I wanted help envisioning a design and pointing me in the right direction. I filled out the consultation form on their website, and the owner Ron reached out promptly to schedule a call and discuss my needs. I had debated going with a virtual design company such as Yardzen, but after speaking with Ron, I knew I made the right choice going with a local company. Ron and the landscape designer Alison came out to my property to get a feel for the space and understand my vision. I showed them inspiration pictures and what elements I wanted for the yard. They also had someone come out and take exact measurements of the property. Alison is a true artist! She understood my vision and created beautiful 2D and 3D renderings for me to reference. She also listed all of the plants and materials I will need and exactly where to put them. For $1500, I think this is a great deal, and I am very happy with the excellent services they provided (Yardzen charges about the same and they don't have someone come out in person)! Alison also offered to go to the plant store with me this summer and pick out plants together. The whole team is super professional and they seemed really excited to work on this project with me! I highly recommend the Narrow Lane.

Exceptional vision, execution and process. We did a complete renovation of our backyard, including tearing out an old retaining wall and huge tree stumps, leveling the backyard, building two patios, a (highly) customized fence, and complete excavation and replanting of the front and backyards. Given the scope of our project, we evaluated a number of companies, including the larger names in the industry and smaller local companies, before choosing Narrow Lane. What sold us was Jeremys vision for the space, their ability to do everything so we didnt have to contract with multiple parties, their willingness to work with us to get the project within our budget (and kept it there), and their commitment to ensuring it is a good process for their customers. I cannot emphasize this last point enough; they truly lived up to it every step of the way. In addition to carrying out such a significant renovation, we were navigating a challenging boundary dispute with a neighbor. Not only was there not a challenge we came up against that they couldnt handle (and did so with good humor), but they also helped us think through options and build in contingencies and customizations. Jeremy was our project manager, and he was frequently onsite and when he was not, there was nearly seamless communication between him and the team. Every team member on-site was thoughtful, courteous, skilled, and seemed to take pride in the outcome and ensuring a good process. Finally, not only is Jeremy perhaps the most patient guy Ive ever met, but we truly enjoyed working with him and valued his input and guidance on decisions for the project and his partnership throughout the process. There were a couple times when we were evaluating adding an option, and his perspective was the benefit wasnt worth the cost, or he had a recommendation on what he thought would really make a visual impact, all to help ensure we were investing where it mattered and would get the best result. We could not be more thrilled with the outcome, and we frequently get asked who did such beautiful work.

My wife and I worked with The Narrow Lane in Summer and Fall 2023 on an extensive landscaping and hardscaping project. The crew was meticulous and did a fantastic job redesigning our backyard and patio area, installing an outdoor kitchen and new brickwork. They successfully fixed water issues wed had and installed sod across both the front and backyard, keeping in mind the urgency with rainstorms and our sloped property. We cant say enough good things about Jeremy and Jat, who managed our project and addressed any concerns over the course of the project. We highly recommend using The Narrow Lane and look forward to continued work with the team.
