Standing Stone Games seems to be stealing people's money from my personal experience and all the BBB complaints and google reviews.. Lifetime VIP members like us spent a LOT of TIME and MONEY on the game.. businesses need to be held accountable and someone should start a class action lawsuit against SSG.. we provide them with more than enough information to get our accounts back but their refusal to help the large amount of Lifetime VIPs who somehow "lost" their account is absolutely unacceptable

Update as of 2/23/2023: Finally offered a solution. While it was not perfect given the circumstances it was good enough. Updated Update: Make that 3 years Update: make that a 2 year technical issue Terrible customer service strategy, as a returning LOTRO player having my purchases locked behind a "technical issue" for nearly a year, I ask for a refund...IN GAME CURRENCY to start over and I'm told " we can't help you" The games themselves are great, but not taking care of 9 year veteran players that have spent money on your product is bad business.

Scam company. They WILL rip you off. Abysmal company. I paid $199 in 2007 for a LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION to the game. I have not logged in for a few years. I believe 2019 or 2020 was the last time. The new updates intrigued me, so I reinstalled the game. I could not remember my password, so I used the form to reset my password. I never received the email. I tried again 3 more tines over the next few days to reset the password with no emails received. After that I contacted support. I gave them all the information they requested. I still use the same email ftom 2007. I provided them with the names of several characters on the account. I still have my original game box from when I bought the game and provided the CD key, as well as taking a picture of it for them. The only information I could not provide was the credit card used to purchase the lifetime account. Since I bought it in 2007 and do not have that card any more. All of that should have been more than enough to get me back into the account I paid for. They told me they couldn't help me. This company is a SCAM. Stay away from all their products.
