I highly recommend you use another bank. A piggy bank is even better. If your into fees and slow customer service by all means. I loathe this bank

I had a great experience getting a mortgage loan last year through Middlesex Savings Bank. I was particularly pleased with the personal service and flexibility the bank provided.

The manager, Carla, is incredibly rude and aggressive. I had a very negative experience there and will NEVER return. I am tempted to close my account there because of such a negative interaction.

This is by far the worst bank in the state of Massachusetts! I have been a business customer of Middlesex for a month and a half and I am canceling my account on Monday after the holiday. Although the account set up and bank accessibility was ridiculously difficult (which is another story) what Middlesex Bank did to me tonight cannot be fixed nor forgiven. I was out with a client, attempted to pay for a modest dinner (just over $100) using my card and they denied the charge even though substantial funds were available. Apparently, the transaction was cancelled by their fraud discovery group. I immediately attempted to call them because I had no alternative form of payment with me, and there customer service is 100% shutdown for the "holiday" (Wednesday night before Thanksgiving). I then attempted to log onto the system...& the system was down. My client paid for the dinner. Finally, after an hour I figured out how to call their fraud department who left me on hold for 20 minutes and after verifying who I was said I can use my card as I normally would. Further I asked why this transaction was flagged and they could not answer me. Apparently, it was completely random. However, it could not possibly have happened at a worse time for me and my business.Why would anyone keep there money in a bank (and pay high bank service and atm fees) when there is absolutely no customer service available AND you don't even have access your money when you need it!. Stay away from this regional bank with absolutely terrible customer service!!!!!!!! - even if you live around the corner from their two locations.

Very good community bank. Service reps are friendly and provides relatively good service. Online banking is Not at the level of bigger banks. It's OK but don't expect anything fancy as it's functional it has Always been a weakness of the bank! For example... online records Only go back 3 months while other banks provide online records for 1 year.
