Growing up I was a kid who was very insecure. My teachers hate me since I wasnt able to focus well in class. I suffered a lot when it came to reading books and literature at school since I had binocular vision deficiencies. Back then, I didnt know what was going on, so I just accepted the fact that I just wasnt a good student. However, things started to change since I started my vision therapy here at Sunshine Vision. Today, I just finished my first 12-session package, and I made some huge improvements since the first day I started my program. I want to give special thanks to Dr. Kelly and Trevor for helping me improve my vision, and I will continue to work hard to build a happier life!

Dr Kellys team really helped my child improve his vision. I was told by previous eye doctors that my son had 20/20 vision but I knew something was not right. I finally learned about vision therapy and decided to go for an evaluation. I am grateful that Sunshine Vision is the place I contacted. Dr. Kelly was able to explain to me what was happening with my sons vision and put me at ease, you can tell shes knowledgeable and passionate. We were teamed up with ms. Bridget who made the therapy sessions easy and comfortable for my child. Now that we are done with the therapy sessions, its a bittersweet feeling as we wont be going to the practice as often but I am happy my sons vision is better. Thank you ms. Bridget and dr. Kelly for your work.

I originally came to Sunshine Vision due to problems with my reading and homework stamina, as well as a feeling of discomfort in my eyes. I could not go a day without closing one eye or the other due to strain and fatigue, let alone having them work together. When I first walked in, I was greeted with the most kind and welcoming staff. Dr. Kelly was extremely sharp and caring during my evaluation; she created such a safe environment for me to share my problems without feeling any embarrassment from my eye turn. I always looked forward to and enjoyed every single session. The vision therapists are extremely friendly as well. I also loved learning the "why" behind all of the eye exercises I did, all personally catered to my vision therapy journey. Overtime, I physically felt my eyes getting stronger and saw a noticeable difference when looking in the mirror. I can now read and do my homework for hours (just finished a 300 page novel within two days... completely unheard of!!!) and feel much more confident now that my eyes are straighter, all due to vision therapy. Not only have I benefitted from my sessions, I am much more aware of my eyes and am inspired to pursue a field in vision therapy to help others in the same way Dr. Kelly helped me. I couldn't recommend it enough!

I first went to Sunshine Vision for an evaluation a few months after having cataract surgery. Prior to getting my lens implants, I was quite nearsighted and wore progressive lenses with prism to help compensate for double vision. My cataract surgeon had warned me that my double vision issues might be more pronounced and annoying once my long-distance acuity was restored, and he was right. My distance acuity was perfect in each eye individually, but things were very "off" and uncomfortable much of the time when using both eyes together. Dr. Kelly "opened my eyes" to the science, mystery, and magic of vision therapy when she explained how the connection between the brain and the eyes controls much of how we perceive and experience vision and how vision therapy can be effective at any age. After only six months of therapy, I can say that I will likely never wear eyeglasses with prism again. My issues are not yet totally resolved but my functional vision is much improved and much more comfortable. I expect to improve even more as I continue to go to vision therapy sessions and practice prescribed activities at home. It also needs to be said that the staff and therapists who work for Dr. Kelly make every visit something to look forward to. The atmosphere is very positive and supportive.
