Beth Israel Lahey Health Primary Care - Medford Family Care

Recently had my physical and when asked if Im having any issues, I gave a few examples which resulted in referrals for specialists. Then I was charged $100 for speaking to my doctor about issues outside of a physical. When I pressed billing and insurance on this, the rep told me dont get a physical if you dont want to be charged extra fees and that she expects extra fees when getting a physical which is supposed to be free and an open conversation about recent issues! Edit: after doing some research, this is apparently normal but Im leaving the review to inform others!

Had a terrible experience attempting to go to my annual appointment. I showed up and was told my Dr was unavailable with no notice. No calls/voicemails or any notification on MyChart (other than the ones reminding me I have an appointment) and now I have to wait 3+ months for the next appointment. I am so frustrated after taking time off of work and traveling to this location!

Most happy with Medford Family Care, my physician and nurses. Dr. Marcinkowski-Desmond is so caring and knowledgeable about my particular medical issues.

Dr Sabia is the best PCP my mom has ever had. He listens to her concerns, checks for all possible conflicts with her medication before prescribing something new, and overall makes her visits fun. She has "white coat syndrome", which means her blood pressure shoots up high when she sees doctors. Not with Dr Sabia, she feels at ease with him. Dr Sabia also speaks Spanish, which is a plus for my mom. The office is great as well. If I had to be critical, I would like to see the prescriptions office improve. It usually takes several phone calls to get things right, especially if there has been a change, which my mom needs because we're still trying to find the best dosage for her.

I do not recommend this facility for health care/primary care physicians. They upcode and bill for services not rendered.
