I called to have my mower deck serviced and to check on fume smell. I told the owner I just did a full time up and replaced all the filters, spark plug and oil. He Yes'ed me and said he would take care of everything. He said they could get it in 1 week. I was not told there was a $50 pickup/delivery fee (we have a truck and ramps and could have brought it ourselves). 1 week after my mower was picked up, I called to check on it, the owner said he ordered new spindles and blades, they would be there in a couple days. For almost another 2 weeks I called to inquire every few days. I received the same type of excuses as to why it was not done..... parts not in, parts lost in mail, ordered new parts, those parts are delayed. I ended up having to pay to have my lawn mowed. When I got the bill from Mattapoisett Power Equipment, it was $450. At no point did he say he was doing a tune up(because I just did one), but he did it anyway and charged me. And the fume smell is still there. Very bad communication, didn't call me once to let me know what was wrong, did more work than asked. And my front lightbulb is still broken. Find someplace else. It would have been cheaper to sell my mower and buy a new one.
