        Dr. Blackstock was okay. Very soft spoken and nice demeanor. I like that she gave me an informative packet of information that included personal recommendations for reading and such. I also like that she told me some about her own track record with deliveries and such when we met. One thing I found very odd was how heavily she focused on my diet early on in my pregnancy despite me not having gained any weight. She asked to hear in great detail about what I eat, and criticized each item. She told me rice of any kind is something I should NEVER eat, and yogurt should be treated as a dessert. I understand diet is important in pregnancy, but when I had to switch OB’s the new doctor never once asked what I eat or focused on that. It was just odd to be getting such intense nutrition scrutiny.
