    Management is unresponsive and does not care about their tenants. They charge for legal fees without telling you what it is for. They only email you when you post a bad review. Calls and calls and emails later still no response. Do not move here.

    I have lived here since the second building opened. Love it here. The roof deck is a huge plus. People are friendly. There have been a couple of community events over the last few months. Brendan, who is part of the maintenance crew is responsive and works along with his teammates to keep things in good shape. The units are great (love the kitchen space) and the option for garage parking is a huge plus. Great outdoorsy things to do such as Lynn Woods as well as several beaches to choose from.

    I've lived here since 9/2020 and am so impressed with all the recent changes made by Charlesgate Management. After an initial rough road, we have a very happy ending. Prior property managers have been inconsistent in their professionalism, standards and effectiveness resulting in an often unruly and challenging setting to live and work in. I am a physician who has been working from home doing telemedicine with some in-person shifts to cover increased needs, so you can imagine how hard it might be to try to work during a pandemic, literally trying to save lives at times, while living in a difficult home environment. Being minutes from the beach, forest and highway to Boston and Maine, plus the new friends I have here (so many friendly people) are some of the things that kept me from moving - and being a bit busy doctoring. Thankfully Charlesgate Management literally saved the day by sending an extremely capable team to turn the situation around. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Thank you Todd and higher ups for your dedication to excellence and responsiveness. The new property managers Tyler and Dimitar, the leasing agent Keith, the maintenance team Fritz and Nick (and another here prior), and even the man who cleans the area, genuinely care about all our concerns and work extremely hard, including after hours and on holidays, to make sure they are addressed. I've even seen Todd onsite pitching in when extra help was needed, though he's already overseeing a very large number of other properties. I felt very disillusioned moving to the Boston area in 2014 seeing the way landlords and management at times treated tenants. This team is restoring my faith. Another plus I'd like to mention is that clear, open and timely communication has become the norm here. Tyler has even been open to learning from my studies on environmental health. Which leads me to the next benefit of living here. The current management cares about the health of tenants, which you can imagine is a quality I highly value. Our homes effect our health. For example, they maintain a quiet, smoke-free environment (including marijuana-free) and do not tolerate violations of the lease. The main reason my rating is a 4 not a 5 is because of my prior experiences, the vents exhaust fabric softener next to my windows at times and around the building and herbicides/pesticides have been used on the grounds prior. I'd prefer fresh air 24/7 and entirely green building with mini-splits instead of HVAC's but this reflects my line of work and is not an issue for most. Plus management listened to my feedback about herbicide/pesticide use and minimized application on the grounds which speaks incredibly highly of them. I can't say enough good things about this team. I expect that shortly I will be giving Ironwood a 5 out of 5 as more of the changes planned become implemented such as a new security system for packages and surveys to provide timely feedback. In closing, a building can be beautiful, in a great location and have attractive amenities like this complex does, but only when it is managed and upkept well and tenants treated with respect, care and fairness, does an apartment become a home.     Save your self the headache and dont not lease an apartment here. Management is incompetent and the building is managed horribly. During my first month here my hot water and heat stopped working. My fridge was broken and it took over 6 months for them to replace it. Management then replaced it with a smaller fridge than I had before. The parking garage is also not managed properly, I always have someone parking in my space. The sound installation between apartments is horrible, you can hear everything. The elevator is always broken and the building smells like smoke. Hallways and elevators are always dirty. The grills on the rooftop are always dirty and they have a bird nest under the grill. Other residents have warned me that packages get stolen all the time. I wouldnt recommend living here and communication with management is horrible.
