Being molested at Carroll School when I was a child by a teacher has effect very negatively my whole life. The Teacher in question is easy found on the R.I. Sex offenders web site. Please check Facebook review.

AMAZING school. Simply one of the very best in the country for kids with LBLD. My son was there 1st-8th. Global language based learning disability. His test scores went from flatlined to high average and above. He went on to Brewster Academy, where he has regularly made high honors, and, as of this weekend, he's going to Skidmore College . Thank you Carroll!!!!!!!!!

I was a student at Carroll school from third grade to fifth grade, and in those years the curriculum stayed the same as you move up making it very hard to go back to public school later on as the program only goes to eighth grade. Maybe I just got bad teachers but for every year the teachers did not show any interest or care for the kids despite any hardships the kids were going through. I have a twin who was in public school and her work was way ahead of mine because the school does not care about the curriculum of public schools and if a student chooses to leave the school, as I did for various reasons, there is a huge amount of work needed to be done to catch up to where you need to be education wise. Not only is the school lacking in education it also doesn't teach the students to have a good work ethic because they receive little to no actual work so a transition to a real school or even into real life will be so much harder on top of being behind everyone who had attended public school. people would think that since the kids there all have dyslexia they would have something in common and be able to bond quickly, and that's what I thought as well until I went, and every student there either ignored me or looked down upon me because some days I was a bit sad due to the fact I hated the school and my mother was sick at the time. During my second year at Carroll school my mom passed away and I had to go in and talk to my teacher about being out for a week, and I had specifically told her I did not want anyone to know as none of them were my friends but she didnt care and she went and told my whole grade, after that everyone just looked at me weirdly some would wisper, I found out people knew when I was standing outside and a teacher came up to me (my least favorite teacher) and said "it was really brave to let your teacher tell everyone about your mom". By that point I had completely shut myself out from everyone because it felt like no one understood how horrible my expeirence at the school was and even my dad thought it was a good idea and continued sending my there for another year, which brought me to middle school where I struggled tremendously due to the lack of care for the student each of the teachers demonstated.
