Choate Bridge Pub

The best fish chowder I have ever eaten It is filled to the top of the bowl with fish. Apple crisp is excellent generous and home made. Service is old Boston and Ipswich, warm and unpretentious. Nice small and uncrowded not noisy. I am comfortable in this restaurant. They are becoming scarce in this area. Note, no credit cards used. My kind of restaurant.

Staff and service are great. Good draft beer selection, with something for everyone. Steak tips were delicious, big portion and plate overflowing with crispy fries. Included side salad was basic iceberg but loaded with cherry tomatoes, croutons, cheddar and just enough red onion -salad also overflowed the plate. Seemed a bit pricey for a pub, until it was placed on the bar in front of me!

A cozy and welcoming tavern. Pub food is stellar and the pizzas are solid. Regulars are friendly and fun.

Our food was delicious. Best swordfish tips I have ever had and the onion rings were crispy and not greasy. It was very noisy but that was expected for a Friday evening next to the bar. My only complaint was they don't take credit cards, so come prepared. This should be made clearer when you enter and on the menu so you don't get embarased!
