My first visit, good expectations based on my son's referral. Beautiful decor, great atmosphere here with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the marsh and fields. Our waitress was very sharp, politely answered questions about the food. Thanks calamari appetizer was pretty good, lightly breaded and not rubbery as is common with frozen product. Chicken was breaded a bit too heavily and overcooked, leaving the exterior dark brown and dry. The spatzle was unusual but tasty. My colleague had steak and was quite pleased. Parking: 30+

I have a fantastic evening with my wife on our 32 wedding anniversary We both had a wonderful steak NY strip and the dessert was outstanding huge slab of Chocolate Cake and a blondie sunday

It's a very nice location with a lovely view. The food is good. We both had the calamari, the duck and chocolate cake. It's didn't love the mayo based sauce on the calamari, I'll skip that dish next time. The duck was very good, we both enjoyed it. I also thought the cake was very good, it's a large slice so it should be shared

Forge and Vine is a very pleasant venue. Beautiful views onto the hills, outdoor patio, open kitchen. The calamari appetizer was a little chewie but had pleasant flavors. The duck was excellent. I did not like the lemon semifroeddo. I think this is the first time in my life that I could not eat a single spoon of a desert, I had to spit out. The creamy part had a flavor I did not like, and the lemon part was very salty. The restaurant was very kind and took it off our bill.
