If you want to do business with a store that has deep roots in the community, sells quality products, and provides exceptional service, read on... I went to Stobbarts yesterday for the first time in a couple of years. I spoke with Wayne Stobbart,--the owner-- and explained that I needed some type of hook or wire to attach a Christmas wreath to a gravestone at the cemetery. I explained that the methods I had tried in the past never worked very well. Using a roll of florist wire, Mr. Stobbart took the time to demonstrate to me EXACTLY how I could attach the wreath by wrapping the wire around the sides of the stone, and then running it across the top. As a teacher with many years of experience, I appreciated his patience and his ability to carefully demonstrate something that many other people would have chosen to explain in a hurried fashion. He then sold me a roll of that same wire for a very modest price. I was very impressed by his helpfulness, especially considering that I had bought the wreath elsewhere, and I was not making any additional purchase. It is delightful to know that we still have local businesses like this- where you can find top-notch, friendly service, in addition to quality products.
